CYW4373/CYW4373E/CYW43732 Features

Infineon’s AIROC™ CYW4373/CYW4373E/CYW43732 single-chip combo device features 1x1 Dual-Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.2. The “E” version offers extended temperature range (-40 to 85C) support and the CYW43732 offers support for dedicated LNA for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth subsystems. Included on-chip are 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers. All versions offer a USB hub and SDIO Wi-Fi host interfaces with the CYW4373E also offering PCIe.

  • Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Dual-band (2.4/5 GHz)

  • 1x1 SISO

  • 20/40/80 MHz channels, up to 433Mbps PHY data rate

  • Internal PA and LNA with support for external PA/LNAs

  • Dual-Band ePA/eLNA reference design available for increased range

  • 2.4-GHz Internal TR Switch (iTR) / 5-GHz External TR Switch (eTR)

Bluetooth Features

  • Class 1 (100 m) and Class 2 (10 m) operation

  • Dedicated Bluetooth (dLNA) path for best coexistence for Audio

  • BT RX path shared with WLAN RX path for reduced antenna count (sLNA)

  • Host controller interface (HCI)-over-UART

  • Dedicated Bluetooth path for best Coex performance

General Features

  • Common USB Hub between Wi-Fi and BT eliminates external USB Hub IC and enables driving long, low-cost cables for Printers and DTV

  • 2-wire SECI for external BT/LTE

M.2 Modules Based on AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combo Devices:

M.2 modules based on AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combo devices are available for easy prototyping and development. Infineon’s PSoC™ 6 development system (CY8CEVAL-062S2) provides an M.2 connector enabling development with Infineon’s broad range of MCU devices. M.2 modules can be used with third party CPU development systems also with an M.2 adapter optionally available.

PSoC™ 62S2 Evaluation Kit (CY8CEVAL-062S2):

Evaluating Infineon’s PSoC™ 6 MCU products and AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combo products is easy using the PSoC™ 62S2 Evaluation Kit (CY8CEVAL-062S2). This flexible development system features an ultra-low-power, dual-core and high-performance PSoC62-2M device featuring 2MB of on-chip Flash, 1MB of SRAM, and a rich set of peripherals. An M.2 connector allows easy evaluation of AIROC™ Wi-Fi & Combo modules. The board also offers an Optiga secure element, CapSense input and an Arduino header for adding in sensors.
